Today I learned that I was re-elected to the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Council. Having been involved with the CIPR at a regional level for almost twelve years and nationally for around three, I thought long and hard about whether I wanted to continue my involvement, especially with a new business - and a new baby!
Today, I am glad I decided to stand again and am proud to be an ambassador for a body that works hard to set policies, uphold best practice and support its members in whatever way it can, in good times and in bad.
I pledged in my candidate statement to play my part in making CIPR membership meaningful as well as value for money. I stand by this and will do my utmost to make it happen. Please do let me know (member or non-member), what you would like to see from your institute and I will make sure you have a voice at a national level.
Many thanks to all those who voted for me. I look forward to working with you to take our industry forward.
